Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteering opportunties available for those wishing to help make Mizzou and the community as a whole more sustainable. Below you will find some of those opportunites.

On Campus

Sustainability Office
Join the Tiger Tailgate Recycling team, coordinate recycling efforts around campus, promote energy conservation with Mizzou Dashboard, assist with the Bike Resource Center, contribute your media skills to the newsletter and generally work to make Mizzou a more sustainable campus!

Sustainability Peer Resource Outreach (SPROUT)
SPROUT is a peer education program for students who wish to learn about various sustainability topics and teach other students about topics ranging from energy efficiency to the complexities of bottled water and its affect on the environment. SPROUT holds programs for student organizations, residential hall staff, and other campus groups. SPROUT welcomes all students interested in learning how to live a more sustainable life as well as wanting to improve public speaking skills and gaining new and lasting friendships. Contact Student Sustainability (studentsustainability@missouri.edu) for more information.

Campus Dining Services (CDS)
Work on promoting awareness about CDS’s local food sources, trayless campaigns and other efforts to be more sustainable. They also need someone to do data entry and survey work related to local food sources.
