MU Clothing Swap

Fall 2019 Clothing Swap and Clothing Repair Info

MU Sustainability, Greeks Go Green, MU Res Life, Sustain Mizzou and MU Off-Campus Student Services are partnering together to bring our MU community a FREE clothing swap on November 4 and November 5 at Memorial North 201. This swap will be open to all MU students, staff and faculty.

Have a favorite shirt that has some unwanted holes? Or have a pair of pants that need to be repaired? Our teams will also have a Clothing Repair table present at the swap. Volunteers will be able to provide basic sewing repairs to items that have received some wear and tear. When visiting the check-in table, explain that you have items for repair and they will direct you to the correct table.

Donation Guidelines

This year we are accepting donations of any size and any age. We ask that ALL donations are clean and gently used. Donations can include shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, shoes, coats, jackets, athletic wear, gloves and scarfs.

No undergarments, no bags/purses, no jewelry and no socks, please.

Swap Rules

An MU student, staff or faculty ID is required to participate so please have it ready before arriving at the check-in table.

On Monday, November 4, participants will be limited to a specific amount of shirts, pants, skirts/dresses, coats/jackets, athletic wear, gloves and scarfs, that they can pick out. Participants will then follow the signs to the check-out table where we’ll tally up your items and provide you with information on other upcoming events.

Note: On Monday, November 4, we will inform you of the set amount of items that you can pick out at our check-in table. The number of items you can pick will be determined by the amount of donations we receive.

On Tuesday, November 5, participants will not be limited to a specific amount of items. Participants are allowed to choose as many items as they would like. On this day of the event, we simply encourage participants to just take as many items as they know they will use.

If you would like to try on clothes during the swap, please visit the check-out table for more information.

Fall 2019 Donation Locations and Times

Our teams will be accepting clothing donations October 28, October 29, October 30, October 31 and November 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Donation locations will be inside the MU Student Center on the main floor and outside in the middle of Greek Town.

An additional donation bin will be set up at the Campus Farmers’ Market on Oct. 31 at Lowry Mall at the MU Sustainability tent.
