When breaking down your cardboard boxes, consider placing them in designated recycling bins throughout campus. Your efforts will go a long way for the environment and our community. Recycling one ton of cardboard alone saves 46 gallons of oil!

Types of cardboard that cannot be thrown into the cardboard recycling receptacles include: 

• Pizza boxes (the top can be recycled if clean and the bottom of the pizza box should be detached and thrown in the trash)
• Paperboard (i.e. cereal boxes. Please place in paper recycling)
• Paper to-go containers (Trash)

Note: Food is always unacceptable in recycling bins. Please place all food items in the trash.
